I'm an American reader/writer who just finished your novel. Well done. I feel it adroitly leverages many of the best elements of both literary and genre fiction, with an emotional (though some may say predictable) climax. Overall, bravo for an outstanding and successful debut.
Just finished reading this and I also congratulate you on an excellent story. It kept me engrossed from start to finish. I kept thinking he was giving her some kind of medication, the pills in the drawer maybe. And I was never sure if the doctor was a good guy or a bad guy.
